Owners Ian and Glenis Selby have been involved in the Poultry World for over 50 years.

From small beginnings in 2003, Poultrynz produced Poultry Books, including the New Zealand Poultry Standards, prints and magazines.

​

In 2007 Poultrynz imported from Biolink, in England, Poultry Shield and Diatom for the eradication of Red Mites.

​

Red Mites have always been a problem. As poultry keepers since 1960 the use of chemicals to eradicate these pests was always a given and being very toxic, these chemicals create a huge danger to our personal health.

​

The combination of Poultry Shield and Diatom has taken away that toxic danger and we have proven that the Poultry Shield / Diatom combination is a 100% sure way of eradicating Red Mites.

Our product list has grown since the introduction of Poultry Shield and Diatom, all being safe to use and non-toxic.

Ian is a welknown International Poultry Judge having judged in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. He collated te last three editions of the New Zealand Poultry Standards and boasts one of the best collections of Poultry Books, Prints and Memorabilia in the World. It is little wonder his experience as a Breeder, Exhibitor and Poultry Judge is well sort after.
